Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is there food included?
    Some of our options have food included, but our starting package Picnic-esque does not include any food. We do have add-on options if you would like to add them to your package.
  • Are the current theme options the only ones available?
    Not at all! Those are just our most popular packages that we’ve setup and wanted to make things slightly easier to browse and consider. We’ve thrown baby showers, gender reveals, bridal showers, anniversaries, etc. We’ve also done some more specific themes such as Marvel, Anime, Disney and Taste of Asia. For more specific themes, please contact us as soon as possible. We work really hard to source out everything to curate it specifically for you and that can take some time.
  • Can I bring my pets?
    We definitely welcome pets, but this must be disclosed at the time of booking since there is an additional $10 clean up fee per pet. Please disclose this at the time of booking!
  • Can I book a picnic for a larger party?  I only see options for up to 4 people.
    We definitely welcome larger parties. Our online options only show up to 4 people since those are our more popular options. Please head over to our contact page and provide the details of your party and what you’re looking for so we can provide you with a quote if we’re able to accommodate.
  • Is everything free to take?
    As much as we would love to give you everything, this is a rental service and unless the products specify otherwise, they are not to be taken with you. We do include a few things that are free to take depending on the packages. All packages include complimentary water, hand sanitizer and a floral arrangement that is free to take, but please leave the vase! Anything food related you added on or is in the package is free to take with their original food package except for our own provided kitchenware such as teapots, drink glasses, cutlery, tableware, etc. If you have any specific questions regarding this, please let us know. If there is something you really like on the day of, it may be available for purchase.
  • What happens if I need to reschedule?
    Life happens and we’re trying to help make it easier! If you need to reschedule, please notify us at least 1 week prior to the booking. There is no cost to schedule! If for whatever reason you need to cancel, your deposit will be fully refunded if you cancel 1 week prior to your intended booking. If you cancel any later than that, there is a 15% non-refundable fee based on the total package pricing. Posh Picnic is not responsible for refunding the full amount. Please be advised that there will be no adjustment or refunds due to late arrivals and if you’re more than 30 minutes late, the picnic will be considered canceled and payment will not be refunded.
  • What happens if I need to leave earlier or want to extend the picnic?
    When you book the package, you and your party are responsible for everything there just as it would be if this were any other rental service. If you need to leave earlier, please text or call us at least 30 mins prior to the time you wish to leave. We will try our best to reach you as soon as possible. If we are not provided adequate timing, please do not leave as anything missing/damaged would result in your security deposit not being returned. We will be there promptly after the rental service has concluded if you did not advise of any changes in time. If you wish to extend your picnic, please message us 30 mins prior to ending. Each additional hour is $35 up to 3 additional hours total. You can also book this in advance if you already anticipate staying longer.
  • Where do you host your picnics?
    We are currently hosting in Brooklyn, Queens and throughout Long Island at public beaches and parks! Please be sure that your preferred location allows for setting this up. Any fines or violations will not be responsible by Posh Picnic and any repercussions will be the customer’s responsibility. We’re slowly expanding to the other additional boroughs. If you do have a special event in another location and we happen to have an opening, please reach to us and we’ll see if we can accommodate you! We are also able to host them right in your backyard or inside your home for an exclusive private picnic experience. At the moment, we are able to curate a picnic experience in Central Park, but will need 1 week’s notice if you plan to book there. We will also require a travel fee of 10%.
  • Are there any hidden charges?
    We do not have any hidden charges and we’re completely upfront about everything. We do require a 100% refundable security deposit of $50 which will be refunded within 24 hours of your picnic. This deposit is to cover any potential damages, items that are missing or extremely heavy stains that require dry cleaning. If you do wish to book a picnic in Central Park, there is a 10% travel fee. If you would like your pet(s) to accompany you, there is a $10 per pet cleaning fee. The only other fees are mostly due to add-ons or if you want a 100% customized picnic for you!
